A new paper doll Dora

Here is a new paper doll which I draw some weeks ago. I call her Dora. She is very much an experimental work - you can see the doll is painted with watercolors while clothes are drawn with colored pencils (I bought a set of 72 Derwent watercolor pencils some time ago).

And here are two examples of the dressed doll. I like the outfits below the best:

The first dress I made for Melissa. Inspiration from Swedish catalog Halens 2009.

First doll melissa

I am a mother of three children, who sometimes likes to relax drawing fashions. I have found it be much better way to forget my problems than just staring TV or internet... Usually I draw bodies and fashions separately, because, first, I am not an experienced artist and making a realistic base is a serious challenge for me. In this way I can reuse my old bases, if I want to draw a dress only. And second, I think it may be interesting to see how the different clothes and hairstyle change the appearance of the figure. If you wish to draw clothes to my bases, you are welcome. Contact with me to obtain hi-resolution version of the bases.
